DAY 2 FLY: Addis Ababa - Axum Walk around in the ancient town of Axum; visit the Stelea Park, age-old tombs of kings and the old palace of Queen of Sheba. DAY 3 DRIVE: Axum - Mekelle On todays drive, we will find multitude of Rock Hewn Churches; we stop over at beautifully decorated church of Abraha-Atsbeha and Wuqro Cherqos. DAY 4 DRIVE: Mekelle - Lalibela Travel through the spectacular mountainous backdrop of the Ambalage chain and past the pristine Ashenge highland Lake to Lalibela. DAY 5 Lalibela Finally, today we visit the eleven magnificent Rock Hewn Churches of Lalibela; each carved out of a single block of rock. DAY 6 DRIVE: Lalibela - Gondar Relaxing day, we drive through Debre Tabor to Gondar. Once there, we have some time for ourselves to have a look around, perhaps? DAY 7 Gondar We visit Gonderine castles, Fasilades' Pool and colorfully decorated holy Trinity Church. DAY 8 DRIVE: Gondar - Bahir Dar Three hours scenic drive towards Bahir Dar; Embark on a boat trip on Lake Tana and visit monastery of Ura Kidane Mihret on Zeghe Peninsula. Boat crossing between Bahir Dar and Gondar is also possible visiting island monasteries. DAY 9 Bahir Dar Morning drive to Tis Isat village to see the Blue Nile Falls; Afternoon leisure. Please mind, the volume of water at Blue Nile Falls is highly seasonal. DAY 10 DEPARTURE DAY: Bahir Dar - Addis Ababa - Home Departure day, we fly from Bahir Dar to Addis Ababa where your international flight awaits you and will take you safely back home!
